OOM-A-GOG Returns to Tulsa
The time has finally come to tell the public that our beloved OOM-A-GOG has come home after decades away. While he actually came back to Tulsa in August, we took time to be a bit selfish and enjoy him while we did some extra research. Finally as part of our 70th anniversary celebration at 2News, we let the public in on our big secret.
So much work has gone into the search for OOM, building trust with the Hargis family and negotiating OOM's return. While I did spearhead the effort, there were many people involved over the years, keeping me focused at times and helping me research the history. With so much lost to time, it was a team effort to piece the story back together as much as we have.
